Nathalie is a full time painter, storyteller and teacher currently living in the Toronto Beach area.  She has studied fine art at Wilfrid Laurier University, at the Honolulu Academy of Art, in Osaka, Japan and at Lesley College in Cambridge MA (graduating with a Masters of Education in Creative Arts in Learning).

Inspired by the swirl of colour, the stir of a story, by houses, hills, pathways, rooftops, the sea and the sky, Nathalie aims to capture memory, mood, motion and emotion in each of her paintings.   Using a multi-layered acrylic technique each painting has up to ten layers of back-story to discover.

“I love travelling to gain inspiration and some of my favourite places have been Bali, Italy, Provence, Hawaii, Thailand and Japan.  But I also love the simple joys of home… warmth, a feeling of peace, time to travel inward and dream…   Creativity flows best for me when I have a balance of both outward adventure and inward reflection“.

Nathalie has participated in various juried group exhibitions across Canada.  She has shown at Arts on Queen, Red Eye Gallery in the Distillery, Arts Square Gallery on Dundas, Cobalt Gallery, Latitude for Living, Collected Joy and at City Hall.  Nathalie has been exhibiting as part of the Beach Studio Tour for over 12 years (as a regular member and as Chair of the tour).
