Nikkole LeBrun is a young Canadian artist. LeBrun grew up in Oakville, Ont. and later moved to Toronto in her 20’s to pursue her art career. She currently spends her days working as an artist, and a sales consultant at an art store. With no formal training in the arts, Nikkole is purely self-taught. She left school at the age of 16 and began to work and travel, allowing her to meet and learn from different artists around the world. Through this she has learned the importance of making connections and friendships. As well as finding the value in developing her own techniques, and pushing her limits. Both greatly contribute to the overall impact of her work.

Specializing in portraiture and painting mainly in acrylic, a distinct style sets her apart from the rest with the use of flat bright colours and contemporary bold lines, which are complemented unusually with a smooth 3 dimensional portrait. LeBrun likes to blend vintage ideals, with the heaviness of today’s modern society.

In just 3 years of showing her work publicly, Nikkole has exhibited in numerous established art walks and galleries in Toronto and surrounding areas. Over the next few years she is looking to expand her portfolio, friendships, show repertoire and audience. Her overall goal is to one day make a lasting impression in Canadian art.
